Her Evening Bath[after Amy Riberdy's poem, "The Bath"]Her Evening Bath
Each night you invite me to put on these sheer tan stockings, (perfectly translucent silk, except for the opaque weave doubled at the heels and toes to prevent a snag's damage); and, otherwise naked, to step into this marbled pool of shallow scented water, comfortably warm, pure water freshly plucked blossoms floating leisurely on its surface. Fragrance of candle's perfume, and cheerful crackling of flames behind the fireplace's grill fill the room with cheerfulness.
